A Renewable Energy System for Your Business

Take Control of Your Energy Demand

PV Solar System Energy Generation Summary

The output of a PV solar system depends on its efficiency, size and location. Commercial systems can range anywhere from 5 to 10 kilowatts (kW) up to a few megawatts (MW). The figures below show the average daily production of some common grid-connected system sizes for Perth. The energy output that is achieved is an average for any given system size and as one would expect solar panels generate more electricity in summer than in winter. These figures reflect the average daily electricity generation which is applied over the year.
PV Solar System Size 10KW 50KW 100KW 150KW
Perth Average Daily Production 44kWh 220kWh 440kWh 660kWh

Commercial PV Solar System Cost Summary

The figures below provide an approximate guide on the price range for grid-connected PV solar systems nationally. Government rebates such as Renewable Energy Certificates have already been factored into these figures and the prices include GST.

Estimated PV Solar System Cost

System size Price range
10kW $12,000 - $14,000
30kW $32,000 - $40,000
50kW $58,000 - $65,000
100kW $125,000 - $150,000
Source: Assumed average price of $1.20 to $1.70 per watt or $1,200 - $1,700 per kilowatt, based on a June 2016 analysis performed by the Clean Energy Council which varied based upon STC values and other government incentives.

An Example – How a 30kW Solar System Can Work for Your Business

  • Guide cost only – $1,200 x 30kW = Out of Pocket Expenses (OOPE) $36,000
  • Govt. incentive(s) have been applied to the cost of the PV Solar System
  • Clean Energy Council (CEC) advises 4.4kWhs output per kWp of installed generation
  • Annual kWhs calculation = 4.4kWh x 30kWp x 365 days = 48,180kWhs of solar energy
  • Annual electricity savings = the Synergy tariff per unit or kWh (.353197) x generation output
  • That is – 48,180kWhs x 0.353197 (L3 Small Business Tariff) = $17,017.03 p.a. in savings
  • Payback is 2.11 years and the Return-on-Investment (ROI) is 47.2%
  • CO2 emissions reduction per 1 kWh of solar generation = 0.6kg of CO2
  • 48,180kWhs of solar generation = 28,908 kg reduction in CO2 emissions p.a.
  • No-Out-Of-Pocket Expenses finance options are available that are cash-flow positive
  • Finance payments may be 100% tax deductible
*Average payback period = Investment cost / Annual Cost Savings ROI = Annual Savings/Investment Cost *These figures are estimates only and are used for illustrative purposes *The CEC estimate of 4.4kWh of solar energy output is an average and is applied over the year

How Your Business Is Sized-Up by One Stop Energy Australia to Benefit from a Commercial Solar System

  • It starts with assessing your energy usage
  • An energy audit report is produced with findings & recommendations
  • It measures and compares electricity consumption during operating hours
  • An optimum PV Solar system size is concluded & a system designed
  • Estimated outputs are detailed as are the economic & environmental benefits
  • The components are considered & agreed i.e. the Inverters, Modules or Panels & Fixings
  • Funding & payment options & how you finance your PV Solar System is concluded
  • The approvals, related processes & timeframes are all completed & submitted
  • The PV Solar system installation date is agreed and the installation is performed
  • The PV Solar system is tested & becomes operational
  • The System documentation is prepared and provided including all warranties
  • System maintenance and output or performance monitoring are options and;
  • You will remain a customer & our customer care commitment is ongoing
