The output of a PV solar system depends on its efficiency, size and location. Commercial systems can range anywhere from 5 to 10 kilowatts (kW) up to a few megawatts (MW). The figures below show the average daily production of some common grid-connected system sizes for Perth. The energy output that is achieved is an average for any given system size and as one would expect solar panels generate more electricity in summer than in winter. These figures reflect the average daily electricity generation which is applied over the year.
